I love my portable media player devices. This one from Zone-Tek looks similar to the one from Monoprice I reviewed.

Ok let me back up. This particular device is pretty much a 2.5" harddrive enclosure with media playback capabilities. What that means is that you can connect this directly to your television or VGA monitor, and play media files….without a computer. There are a few features on this one that is quite interesting. like the built in FM radio, and the memory card slot...if the harddrive isnt big enough.

The ZT-MP205 plays most of the video and audio formats, including Divx, Xvid, Mpeg-2, AVI, WMV, MP3, ACC, WMA…you get the picture.

One thing I notice it doesnt have that the Monoprice player has is HD output. It does however has 5.1.

This seems to be pretty interesting also, with the ZT-MP205 you can do certain features such as copy files, rename, delete etc from the device itself. As you can see from the picture, it has a copy button on the device itself. The estimated price of this device is about $42 bucks (without the harddrive).

For more information you can check out the Zone-Tek website. It looks like Zone-Tek is a Chinese company and the website seems like its translated to English.

Note: Zone-tek is a manufacturer, looks like they arent selling the products to regular consumers. There is information on the website where you can inquire about getting thier products to be sold in your store. Hopefully we’ll see them sold at regular stores soon.
