Sometimes I run across some things and think "how the heck do they do that?". Recently I came across a cake maker in my local area that makes…excuse me, "creates" some really impressive cake designs. Yea Ive been to Walmart and seen "happy birthday" written on a cake with a few flowers or balloons but this goes far beyond that. Take a look at the image to the right, it is a cake. You can eat everything you see in that picture, the shoe, the basketball.

Couturecakesbynika.com offers some very creative cake designs for just about any occasion. Taking a look through the pictures of the other cakes she has done you can see there is a lot that she can do.  If those don’t give you any ideas It looks like you can give her any picture and she can create a cake with that design. Too bad the cakes are only offered locally, I asked her about having cakes shipped but she hasn’t figured out a way to do it yet that will keep them in place for delivery.

Thought it was cool enough to let you know about it. Check it out, maybe one day she will get the shipping figured out and you can have a cake made out of your favorite pair of shoes (I’ll have a Timberland cake please). More pics below.
