Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver
I almost forgot about this little item I was waiting for a few months back. I see the Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver is now for sale (seen it at EBGames). Near the beginning of January, I heard about this on a podcast, cant remember which one…I’m thinking PCGAMER. What it basically is a USB receiver that allows 360 peripherals to be used with your PC, such as the game controller and headset.
Anyway, I was riding around with a friend and stopped by a local EBGames store to see if they had one in, or when it was supposed to be released. I walked in the store and looked, didn’t see it around so I asked the guy working about it and he didn’t have a clue what I was talking about. Told me that something like it would be sold at a specialty store (EBGames isn’t a specialty store?). What he told me didn’t really matter cause I knew from the little conversation that he didn’t know anything about it, which most likely meant that they didn’t sell it, so part of my question was answered…it wasn’t being sold yet.
Today, I was going to see a movie and had a little time so I stopped in the EBgames near the movie theater I was going to…just to look around. In the new release/ pre order section of the store they indeed had a Xbox 360 wireless receiver on the shelf. It was listed for $49.99. Maybe it was labeled wrong or something, but at the website its listed $19.99 (which is the price Ive always heard that it would be).
