canon elura 100.bmpThe Canon Elura 100 won the "Caminfo Selects 2006" award in the sub $400 range over at Camcorderinfo.com According to Camcorder info, this little cam has a lot of features for a camcorder in this price range: 1/5" CCD, a microphone input, analog inputs, and  2 1/2 hours battery life between charges. and is said to have very good picture quality compared to other camera’s in this price range.

One thing of note about the battery,  it is all inclosed in the camcorder and cannot be replaced or swapped out, so your stuck with carrying the charger with you.

This camera retails for $399. but a quick search found this camera for $259 here and $277 here.
