screamer.jpgWith CES right around the corner, you will be seeing lots…and I mean LOTS of news about products and gadgets that will be shown at the 3 day event. One of the items that you might see more information on is this nifty little device that streams music from your Windows PC for your personal enjoyment. This device is called the Siren’s Screamer. It comes with a USB dongle that plugs into your PC, a receiver base and a remote.

The remote itself has your normal play and pause buttons, similar to what you would normally see on a device that plays audio files. It also has a small screen that is used for navigating through the music on your pc and shows the songs being played etc. On the base station is where you connect the included RCA cables to get the sound to your stereo system in the room where you plan on listening to your music. The range on this device is about 150ft and it uses the 2.4 ghz wireless band, the same band that most cordless phones and other devices use, so I suspect that there is a potential possibility that the signal can be interfered with if you have those devices nearby. The cost of this is said to be about $130. Also this device can communicate with Skype software through a built in mic

If you want to go completely wireless you can get the $99 dollar wireless headset to go along with this device (pictured).
