Rover TV records video directly from your TV
Everyone is making portable devices to allow you to carry media stored on your PC. This gadget is a little different. The Rover TV is a device that records directly from your TV so that you can carry your favorite TV shows with you without use of a PC.
Don’t get me wrong, you can also transfer files from your PC to the Rover TV by use of USB 2.0. The downfall is that there is no built in storage space, but it does come with a 2 gig SD card that can hold up to 4 hours video or 2800 songs.
It also looks like the video playback capabilities are a little limited. According to the website it supports MPEG4, MP3, and WMA, so if your videos are in anything other than MPEG4 looks like your out of luck….in a way. The main importance of this device is in fact the ability to record directly from your TV, and it does so by encoding the video in MPEG4 format, so if you buy it to use a a portable DVR, you’ll probably not need support for many other video formats.
In the box, you’ll get the premium XTB ear buds, USB cable, wall charger, AV cord, Installation CD and manual.

As far as screen size, this device comes in 2 flavors. The Rover TV Big Screen has a 3.5 inch screen and will cost you $299. The Rover TV Widescreen has a 4 inch screen and a price tag of $349.

Also this device has a removable, rechargeable battery that has a 12 hour battery life for audio and 6 hours video.
