hd_bd.jpgA while ago I talked about in the jonzee.com podcast, and made a post about using your Xbox360 HDDVD drive with your PC (or notebook). the only problem is that it was hard to come by any software or playback being that none were for sale at that time. Yea if you happen to have bought one of those high dollar computers that came with an HDDVD or Bluray drive, it came with OEM software to support it, but you couldn’t buy any standalone software. Recently there have been announcements that Bluray and HDDVD drives are available for your pc by several manufacturers so they are starting to become more available as time goes on. Cyberlink has finally released their HDDVD/Bluray version of the popular powerdvd software. it has support for most HDDVD drives and Bluray drives and a few other features. it even states on Cyberlink’s website that the Xbox360’s HDDVD drive is supported it all matters if your PC has the required hardware specs. The cost of the new Powerdvd Ultra is about $99 and you can buy it at Cyberlink’s site.
