Apple-iPhone-Price-DropI missed the news about the iPhone price drop yesterday (dont know how) but this morning, I was laughing. A friend of mine, the one I talked about in this post, bought an 8 gig iPhone a couple of weeks ago. I read the headlines in Technorati (fav me) and other blogs and websites I visit, but it wasn’t until I went to Apple’s iPhone page and saw the 8 gig iPhone for $399 that I started laughing to myself. Ive been off work and was looking forward to getting back to work to laugh at my iPhone owning Co-worker.

Not just because Apple announced the iPod Touch that pretty much takes away the need of an iPhone (if you want some other phone or cell service). But also because I could potentially go out and buy an iPhone for $200 bucks less than he did a few weeks ago. I know I’m mean, but we are like that…its cool.

iPhone Owners to get $100

Lucky for him, Steve Jobs came back today and announced that previous purchasers of the iPhone will indeed get $100 credit, either through the Apple store or AT&T. Still not the $200 dollar savings but it does make it hurt a little less.
