HP’s new 20 inch entertainment notebook looks pretty sweet
Some people like smaller, more portable notebook computers. Not me, I want a large screen. I guess if things were different, if I actually needed to use my notebook on the road, I would
like smaller notebooks too. But as it is now, my notebook pretty much is only transfered from desk to desk. I always thought I would eventually get a 20 inch notebook, and maybe I will. but right now they are still a little too expensive for my taste.
Take the new 20 inch HP Pavilion HDX Entertainment notebook. It seems pretty cool but it starts out with a price tag of a whooping $2699. But talking about features. This is truly a mobile media center. Of coarse it has Windows Vista installed. Then you have an HDDVD drive and the 20.1 inch screen that allows you to get all of your High Definition goodness going. You have in your choice of large capacity harddrives, Core 2 duo processors ranging from 2.2ghz to 2.8ghz.. When you want to take a break from Movies, an play a few games you have a 256mb Radeon HD 2600 XT.
A while ago, I had a Sager brand 17 inch notebook, that notebook weighed in at 9 points. I thought that was pretty heavy for a notebook. The Pavilion HDX trumps that with a weight of 15.5 pounds, imaging carrying that through campus for hours at a time.
