Futuristic car that gets 200 Miles per gallon.
Wouldn’t you just love to be able to get over 200 Miles per gallon? Wouldn’t you love to own a futuristic looking car? I ran across this Jetsons-like vehicle over at Geekoloogie and thought it was pretty interesting, but it wasn’t until I read the proposed price of this vehicle that I finally thought Hmmm…would I drive one of these?
The Aptera is actually a gas/electric hybrid prototype made by Aptera Motors. Aptera Motors claims that this car is built to be as aerodynamic as possible, and made with a low cost top secret carbon fiber body. Like I said, its a gas electric hybrid and should get up to about 220 miles per gallon. All of this and they are predicting a cost of about $20,000.
With that price tag, I think about how a car with that great gas mileage would prove very useful to me, being that I drive a little over 100 miles a day commuting to work. Then I think, every time I see these futuristic hybrid cars, they looks like something that wouldn’t be that safe in an accident. A little more save than riding a motorcycle (which I have own at one time). I’m still waiting to see if one of these cars to actually be sold and people start driving them.

We already plunked down our 5 Benjamins to have the privilege of being in line for an Aptera. I hope it lives up to expecations.
