ps3_system.jpgIs this an upward swing? Is Sony about to take that turn with the PS3 that would put them on top of this gaming generation, the way the PS2 lead last gen?

Sony is touting the "largest consumer electronics sale in history" with its European launch of the Console. The PS3 launched in Europe recently and has sold 800k units to date. Looks like the European launch is somewhat of a success…compared to how they fared in the US and Japan. Nintendo is still selling pretty strong with its Wii console, and the Xbox 360, is doing "OK" with somewhat steady sales (still outselling the PS3 in the US). To be honest, I think that MS and Sony are both under performing. The Wii on the other hand, I think is somewhat over performing, I’m guessing that has to slow down soon….maybe not.
