20 inch model Viore lcd TVI actually saw this friday but never got a chance to post it. But office max’s Black friday sale paper has leaked and I was looking through the list of items to see if there was anything that caught my eye, and there was.

Now I never remember seeing televisions in office max before but the last thing on the list is a Viore 37 inch lcd hdready hdtv for $699. That is a good price being that Sams has a 32 inch right now for that price (different brand). but Ive never heard of Viore so I did some reading around the net to see if I can find some information on it. correct me if Im wrong, but what I think I found out is that Viore is the same company that makes the Akai brand. Akai makes your lower end televisions and dvd players (and some other appliances etc).

From what I understand, Akai’s dvd players werent all that good, but they did have a line of rear projection telivisions a few years back that were ok, they were actually rebranded samsung hdtv’s. I dont know if this Viore tv is a rebranded tv like those RPTV’s were or they are just some really cheap lcd’s but the price is good, if it isnt one of those tvs that will stop working after a few months. the 37 invh model isnt listed at Viore’s website.
