Apple spreads a Virus?
In case you hadn’t heard, there was a virus that shipped in
some Apple Ipods recently. The virus only affects windows PC’s like most viruses. When I hear stories like that i usually don’t pay too much attention to them because it happens from time to time…not that often but every once in a while you’ll hear something similar. The thing that gets me is that Apple, and some other people reporting on the news are making this a Microsoft problem.
I’m sorry, if you release a product with a virus on it, it isn’t anyone fault but the company that released the product. Yes Windows is the target of most viruses created and Windows have been known to have the most vulnerabilities (that we know about). But the only reasons I can see a virus being included in a products software/firmware etc, is if someone that works for the company put it there or the machine they were using to build the product was infected and passed the virus on. Either way, it should’ve been something that was caught when they do the final inspection of the machine before it sells to the public.
Now mistakes happen, things get by people, and I usually wouldn’t criticize anyone for something like this happening unless it became a ongoing problem, but to come out and say it was Microsoft’s fault is crazy….it should’ve been caught by Apple. http://www.geeknewscentral.com/mt/mt-tb.cgi/6356
