zoombox.jpgIf your ever wanted to try out using a projector to view your movies and video games on your wall or ceiling? Well the Zoombox may be something you might want to try out before you go and spend a lot of money. The Zoombox is  a projector, with a built in DVD player, av inputs, and a built in speaker, all for about $249.99.

The thing about the Zoombox is, it is actually a toy, most places that Ive seen the Zoombox, it was in the toy sextion. Its geared more towards pre-teens or a little older/younger. But thats not to say that a regular adult couldnt find some use for it. It looks like it is completely portable. would be easily brought to a friends house, "work" (some people would get a kick out of that) or anywhere that you would like to bring entertainment.

You also have to be a little lienent on the performance, after all it is a toy and it is only $248, so you will have to be in a dark room to view the image, Id imagine a very dark room. as it only had 8 lumens….yes I did say 8. Its lit by a 34 watt bulb that is pretty cheep and can be bought in stores near you, So the 1000 hour lifespan isnt gonna be that big of a problem. Also the image resolution is about 557X234, no hd here.

But all in all, the Zoombox seems like it would be a decent, low cost device if you want to have something quick that you can bring from room to room, or place to place for video or gaming entertainment. and with the $248 price, its easy to buy as an experimental device (just keep the reciept)
