HTC Touch, TouchFLO, Cool looking Smartphone
We got a couple of weeks before the Apple Cell phone release, are you ready? I for one am not. Actually Ive been looking for alternative’s….there are a few out there that look pretty promising.
HTC is a company that has made some pretty decent smartphones and it looks like they are getting right in there with Apple with their very own touch screen based smartphone. The HTC touch is the phone I’m referring too. As you can see by the picture it looks like it may just want to be an iPhone competitor. It has a large touch screen, its own touch screen technology, and at the same time, its a pretty small phone for what it is.
The HTC Touch runs Windows mobile 6 with a proprietary skin or dashboard that they call the "TouchFLO" interface. The TouchFLO interface isn’t just a pretty skin, the cool thing about it is that you make gestures on the screen with your hand and it changes what is on the screen. For example, if you run your finger from top to bottom, it will scroll down your list of contacts. if you go from left to right, it will flip the page. It can even distinguish between gesturing and regular touching and tapping.

The HTC Touch has a 2.8 inch screen, 128 mb rom/64 mb ram, bluetooth, 802.11b/g wifi, 2 megapixel camera and comes with a 1 gig micro sd card. It also runs on GSM/Edge networks so you can assume (if it hasn’t already been confirmed) that this phone will be a Cingular (AT&T) or T-mobile phone.
