$98 bucks for a Toshiba HDDVD standalone player
This may be the first real reason to get an HDDVD player as a "no brainer completely impulse" purchase. This Friday at Walmart, they are having an unbelievable deal on the Toshiba HD-A2, HDDVD player. This Toshiba HDDVD player is one of the early HDDVD player models, usually retails for about $299. But this Friday at 8 A.M you can pick one up for $98 bucks. Looks like its some kind of secret sale (that Engadget knew about).

The player supports 720P and 1080i. No 1080p but who cares for $98 bucks. It also up converts standard definition DVDs to HD formats.
