Blue-ray.jpgThis is pretty impressive, earlier this month the first 50 gb Blu-Ray disc was released. Panasonic now announced that they will be releasing a 100 gb Blu-Ray disc. This particular disc is going to have 4 layers with 25 gb on each layer. Panasonic also claim to beable to achieve a 100 years life span on the larger disc with write speeds of up to 2X.

If blu-ray happen to be the winner in this next gen format war, there seems to be a lot of storage to look forward to in the future. Now if they can just get the picture quality of the Blu-Ray movies up to par, Blu-Ray may shape up to be one good platform.
